GENERAL CONDITIONS
The 5th Henri Tomasi International Competition is opened to Woodwind quintet formations (flute, clarinet oboe, bassoon, horn).
The competitors average age should not exceed 35 years and each candidate must imperatively have been born after December 31st, 1968.
The registration fee is 250 euros per quintet and is only valid after payment of the fees.
The works will be chosen among the following list :
The presentation of original scores is compulsory. ( Use of photocopies is rigorously prohibited).
There will be a prior agreement between the interpreters, the SPEDIDAM and the organizers before any performance recordings or recordings of the Prize Winners concert.
The competition is public.
Three Prices will be awarded for a total amount of 15 000 euros.
The prize winners will be committed for the Woodwind quintet 8th International Biennale in November and December 2009 by The Institut Francais des Instruments à Vent.
The decisions of the Jury are final.
The candidates will receive practical informations two weeks before the competition.

Regional interest
This competition registers in the space left vacant(free) since the only International Competition d ’ Interpretation reserved for this discipline(subject), accomplished in Colmar, was left after the edition of 1987. It is the only competition reserved for training(forming) Quintet with Wind in Europe with those of Munich and from Belgrade and takes place in Marseilles.
All writings is opened to the public to introduce this directory. Numerous intermediaries will be solicited (Conservatory, music schools, schools), the period of sequence of competition (school holidays) that can allow to the youngest to the public and notably to move. Besides, across this competition, the Institute of Instruments with Winds likes, on one hand to allow the circulation of writings between countries, and on the other hand to favour meeting between the musicians come from different geographical skylines.
